Event description
Careers & Aspirations Day 2023
I would like to invite you to Mount St Joseph’s Annual ‘Careers & Aspirations Day’ to be held on Thursday, 16th February 2023.
The aim of the day is to give our year 9 students the opportunity to consider their career pathway carefully, just before they make their GCSE option choices.
The event will be in the morning of 16th February 2023 from 9.15am until 12.30pm, drinks and light refreshments will be available from 8.45am followed by a buffet lunch, 12.40pm – 1.20pm (both optional).
The morning will consist of short sessions (10- 15 mins) with groups of approximately 6 students at a time, who have shown an interest in a similar career path to your company. The students will rotate around the event every 10-15minutes, so you will have approx. 8 groups of students throughout the whole morning.
This will be an opportunity for you to explain to the students how you came to your profession, the qualifications required, salary, your responsibilities / duties and to provide ‘real life’ experience, It would also provide the students with an opportunity to ask you any questions to help them gain further knowledge about your sector of work.
