About the teacher and students

The event was created by Ian Simon for 120 students at Ross High School aged Age 12 - 13.

Event description

Bringing Languages to Life
Alternative time 1.05pm - 1.45pm

Educators would like their students to gain an understanding of how modern languages can be utilised within a variety of professions. Pupils often find it challenging to understand how modern languages can be applied to the world of work and we therefore seek presenters from a variety of professions who can explain how they have used and are using languages in either their current or previous roles.

Teachers are particularly interested in presenters from the following professions although would be keen to invite other professions:
Air steward/flight attendants
Tourist Guide
Trades person
Hotel Receptionist/Chef/Cook/Hospitality

There will be 2 presenters in this session
