Event description
Improving aspirations of children from one of the most deprived areas of the country
We are investing more time in school to raise the career aspirations of our students. We have found that a lot of our students lack confidence in their own ability and therefore have lowered their goals for the future. Many do not believe some jobs are available to them. Our aim is to change this narrative by providing more business engagement and inspirational stories from year 7. We hope the students will be inspired and have a chance to see jobs brought to life and and understanding of what they need to do to achieve their ideal job. An understanding of what a typical day looks like and the skills required would be beneficial.
