About the teacher and students

The event was created by Deborah Moodie-Lee for 50 students at St Peter's Primary School aged Age 11 - 12.

Event description

Inspire the P7 students

Ideally I would like to make contact with the individual speakers and look at various dates over the course of this academic year. I am looking for in-person visitors to the classroom and online speakers too.
I would like speakers to talk to the class, tell them abut their company/job/role/responsibilities, explain the path they took to get to where they are now, describe their particular job sector, share insights, talk about any failures as well as successes, what skills they need for their job, why they enjoy it etc. After about 20 mins I would like them to offer some Q&A time to the class and answer any questions.
This would all be part of our year-long ‘My World of Work’ topic.
Dates can be flexible for sessions, a Wednesday morning is preferred, but not necessary.
