The event was created by Bernie Corrighan for 250 students at Grey Court School aged Age 15 - 18.
Event description
Come and Inspire our students! This event is on 5th Oct 6.30-8pm for year 11, 12 and 13 students to find out more about the world of work!
Our Careers event, is always a vital part of our guidance to students. In this session, business volunteers will share insights on their career pathway, an idea about what it's like to work in the industry and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.
This takes place in the evening - 6.30-8pm to enable students and parents/carers to attend.
Speakers will talks about their career journey in an informal way (no presentations!) covering things such as:
Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now
What inspired them to choose their career path - Their failures, as well as successes
What their company does and why this is important
What they enjoy most about their career
Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now
