Event description

Breaking the ASC stigma

This sessions is about enabling young people to make their own decisions and to take responsibility for thier own lives and communities. These events help students learn a range of attributes to boost employability, develop the personal skills, qualities and attitudes needs to success post-education and prepare them for the world of work. In addition to this, students can gain an in-depth understanding of why integral skills such as resilience, conflict resolution, interpersoanl skills and independence are important within the workplace. As a school, we are striving to challenge perceptions that mean only 16% of people diagnosed with ASC are in sustained employment. By participating in a variety of skills development events and opportunities, our students are given the opportunity to develop their functional life and emploaybility skills.
