About the teacher and students

The event was created by Jonathan Howard for 75 students at St Aloysius RC College aged Age 11 - 14.

Event description

Inspire our students and increase awareness of different careers and routes that can be taken to get into various careers.

We run sessions of 40 mins talks from 9:00 - 12:45 on this Careers Days, guests are welcome to do multiple talks to different groups if they wish.
Talks consist of Career Insight and Career journeys and the audience are students in Years 7, 8 and 9.

Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey:

• Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now

• What inspired them to choose their career path

• Their failures, as well as successes

• What their company does and why this is important

• What they enjoy most about their career

• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now."
