Event description

Inspire our students- Introduction to Careers. Five 1 hour sessions throughout the day

The Year 8 Careers day is part of our whole school 'ASPIRE Day' where all pupils are off timetable and cover certain PSHE and careers topics.
There will be 5 x 1 hour sessions throughout the day so we are hoping you can commit to the full day.

Guidelines on the kind of information to include when speaking to pupils
• Key information about your own background & career journey
• What your line of work is and what that involves
• The different ways you work with others
• Other jobs in the organisation and how people work together as a team
• Pathways in education / work & training
• Key messages to young people in Y11 about to take their GCSEs
• Working hours & holidays
• Skills and qualities needed
• A typical working day
• The challenges of the job
• Your favourite part of the job / what gives you job satisfaction

I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind Regards,
Hayley
