About the teacher and students

The event was created by Helena Yovichich for 100 students at University College School aged Age 14 - 15.

Event description

Year 10 Careers Day: a chance to widen the perspectives of students, exposing them to the exciting careers they could go into in the future.

This would be a 2 hour event, from 2-4pm, although if you can only do an hour that is absolutely fine.

The event consists of speakers talking to three different groups of students about:
- Your career - what you do, what you love about it, what you find challenging.
- How you got into your career and what degree you did.
- What skills you think they need to develop to be successful in gaining a job in your field in the future.

The talk would be about 15 minutes and then there would be time for students to ask questions.

We are putting this on to try and get our Year 10 to really think about the huge range of jobs they can get into and be inspired and excited for where they could go in the future.
