Event description

Inspire girls in Greater Manchester by highlighting career pathways involving maths and STEM

In this webinar, volunteers will share experiences about their career and their personal journey to get to where they are. It will be wonderful for students to hear about volunteers' successes, challenges, inspiration and the skills that they use in their job.
Each speaker will provide a short talk (8-10 mins), followed by a 3-5 minute Q&A.
The event aim of the event is to inspire Y9 and Y10 girls to consider studying mathematics and STEM pathways beyond GCSE (including Core Maths, which is accessible for all students), as well as highlighting STEM careers. Boys will also be welcome to attend the webinar.

Students from state schools across Greater Manchester, and perhaps other areas in the NW, will be in attendance.
