About the teacher and students

The event was created by Nat O'Brien for 75 students at Holme Grange School aged Age 14 - 16.

Event description

Inspire our students - PSHE skills day, allowing students to see real world examples of how people are achieving amazing things through skills they have developed.

We are looking for speakers with different areas of knowledge and experience to talk about topics that will impact our students. Things like resilience, building relationships within a business situation, dealing with failure, finding the right path, tackling discrimination.

These events help students learn a range of attributes to boost employability, develop the personal skills, qualities and attitudes needs to success post-education and prepare them for the world of work. In addition to this, students can gain an in-depth understanding of why integral skills such as resilience, conflict resolution, interpersonal skills and independence are important within the workplace.
