Event description

Maths to make a life better! How maths can be used to improve lives. *Online event*

Maths to make a life better; showing a range of careers that use maths to improve lives. We'd like to hear from volunteers who use maths in any aspect of healthcare.

In this 45 minute session, role model volunteers will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.

Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey (up to 10mins):
• How maths played a part and how maths is relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.

Q&As will follow to end the session.
