Event description

Understanding First Aid

Teachers and educators are keen that pupils gain an understanding of first aid and how it is used to help and assist people within the local community. Teachers would like a professional from the health and care sector to give a brief talk on first aid, followed by a demonstration of some first aid methods such as mouth to mouth resuscitation, identifying the recovery position etc. There should be an opportunity for pupils to practise some techniques of first aid so that they can gain not only a general theoretical knowledge of first aid, but also an authentic practical understanding too.
