About the teacher and students

The event was created by Katharine Whitehead for 250 students at Laurus Cheadle Hulme aged Age 14 - 15.

Event description

Year 10 Careers fair to Inspire our students into roles they could delve into in the future.

"In this session, business volunteers will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.

We would like volunteers to come in and speak to our students about the following points:
Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now
What inspired them to choose their career path
Their failures, as well as successes
What their company does and why this is important
What they enjoy most about their career
Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.

The event will run for our whole year 10 cohort to experience from 1:30pm - 3pm where a variety of businesses will hold stalls that students can browse around and discuss possible career opportunities for their future.

If anyone would like to participate in this event if you could contact katharine.whitehead@lauruscheadlehulme.org.uk
