About the teacher and students

The event was created by Yxefdtilwtgcszvctnfcqe for 75 students at The UCL Academy aged Age 11 - 18.

Event description

The 10th and last in a series of 30 min MENTORING sessions with 12-18yr old students . The session will be focused on finalising the product & getting ready for market.

UCL Academy has created a mentoring programme that aims to give students the unique opportunity to work in teams and experience an authentic challenge by working with experienced successful business leaders and entrepreneurs on real projects.

By offering 30 minutes of your time as a mentor you will help the students gain experience that complements their academic and personal development in areas such as leadership, teamwork, resilience and meeting deadlines as well as running all aspects of a company and turning an idea to reality.

Two groups (of 36 students) of 12 - 18 year old students will come up with an idea for a product (digital or physical) , develop it and present it to key stakeholders (parents, teachers, mentors etc) at the end of the programme.
School tutors will be at hand to facilitate the sessions and ensure that the programme progresses and deliverables are ready for next week.

The students have come up with app ideas that they would like to create. This session will conclude the programme and the students will need your guidance on preparing presentations for their new products.

As a mentor you will give your advice and suggest presenting methods, tips and tricks. You will introduce the students to testing and evaluation methodologies and you can suggest further reading, templates or guides.

The session is to start at 10.40 and end at 11.10
