These business leaders have been chosen because their companies are growing quickly. Combined they employ 63+ people.
The event was created by Jacqui Strong for 800 students at Jesmond Park Academy aged Age 11 - 18.
Careers Fair: 8.30am-2.45pm on Fri 8 April. We will have over 800 students attending from our school + Y6 from West Jesmond Primary School
We would like to invite you to our Careers Fair on Friday 8th April 2022.
This will be held in school from 8:45am to 2:45pm, with a lunch break from 12:20-1:00pm. We will provide a buffet lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
This will be a great opportunity for you to identify future talent, increase your brand awareness and to network with other businesses. Last time over 30 organisations were kind enough to come and the event was a great success. We are fully aware of the impact that COVID 19 has had on all organisations and we understand the pressures that this brings. If you are able to come it would be of great benefit to our students, particularly as we have been unable to host ‘in school’ events such as this for the last couple of years and our students need the insight into the world of work/further education more than ever. If you are able to provide any form of sponsorship for the Fair we would be very grateful, and this would obviously be acknowledged in the handouts and posters.
Jesmond Park Academy is a member of the North East Careers Hub and we are seeking to improve our provision around Gatsby Benchmarks 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7.
The focus of the day is choices at age 14+, 16+ and 18+. Over 300 Year 9 students, around 400 from Years 10 and 11 and over 300 Sixth Formers will also attend. We would like you to provide interactive activities if possible, therefore it would be helpful if you could bring along and demonstrate equipment that you use at work. Students will come in groups of up to 150 on a carousel basis and they will be asked to complete questionnaires and interview delegates about their jobs.
We will be visited by 90 Year 6 students from West Jesmond Primary School during the morning.
We hope your organisation will be able to take part and give the students an insight in your area of work or education, to help them make decisions about their future career and training. If you are only able to stay for part of the day, we would still very much value your input. We are always keen to have contact with our former students, so if you do know of any that would like to attend, please ask them to get in touch.
