The event was created by Louise Maule for 1 students at Dixons Fazakerley Academy aged Age 11 - 16.

Students from the following other schools also took part:

Event description

Putting the A in STEAM; careers combining STEM, art and creativity
This is an online event and will be held on MS Teams

This event highlights careers that combine creativity and / or art with the STEM subjects. STEM becomes STEAM!

In this session, volunteers will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.

Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey (up to 10mins):
• How maths played a part and how maths is relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.

Q&As will follow to end the session.
