These business leaders have been chosen because their companies are growing quickly. Combined they employ 6+ people.
The event was created by Dave Berry for 25 students at West Walsall E-ACT Academy aged Age 11 - 18.
Did you know you could do this as a career?
We are looking for external employers/ employees to speak to small groups of students and cover the following points:
Speakers will talk about about your career journey:
Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now
What inspired you to choose your career path
Your failures, as well as successes
What your company does and why this is important
What you enjoy most about your career
Skills currently relevant in the jobs you are doing now.
There are sessions happening through the week of March 7th - 11th not just on the date on the form. The sessions will be for no longer than 50 minutes as they will be the lesson for a class in particular year group. I would endeavour to match a class to a subject that your career is based on as much as possible. There will be a teacher in the room at all times with you. The times of the sessions for each day are as follows:
8:40 - 9:40
9:40 - 10:40
10:00 - 11:00
11:00 - 12:00
12:00 - 13:00
12:35 - 13:35
13:35 - 14:35
14:35 - 15:10 assembly (whole year group)
If you are able to attend one session on a day from 7th - 11th March that would be great. If you are able to do more then you will not be refused!
We are also holding a Careers fair on March 15th for the whole day. If your company would like a stall at the event to talk to students about careers, skills, etc at your place of employment then just let me know. The event will see all 1100 students attend through out the day.
All the events planned are currently being face to face but can change if COVID restrictions change.
If you are able to support any session or the careers fair then let me now on the email below. Similarly if you would like more information then just let me know.
Thank you for your time,
Dave Berry
