Event description
Careers Showcase- what careers are out there for me?
In this session, I hope business volunteers will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire our students to make informed decisions about their future.
I would like to set this up like a market place so students get the chance to spend 20 minutes with 3 different speakers so have a carousel activity where they hear from different people and their journeys.
Speakers could explain their career journey:
Including Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now
What inspired them to choose their career path
Their failures, as well as successes
What their company does and why this is important
What they enjoy most about their career
Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.
