Event description

Big maths careers feeder school event with Durham Sixth Form Centre *In-person event*

  • Please note this is an in-person event *

Durham Sixth Form Centre is inviting in students from feeder schools for an afternoon of careers-based sessions. This is designed to inform and inspire GCSE students to make the best possible choices for their next steps at post-16, whilst promoting our range of courses at the centre (A-level Maths, A-level Further Maths and Mathematical Studies).

I would like to invite in professionals from a range of STEM industries to give us insight into how you use maths and other STEM subjects in your job. This will be part of a carousel of activities, delivering a 45 minute panel-style interview session 3 times to prospective A-level students.

Times of the day:
09:15 Arrival
09:30 Session 1
10:30 Session 2
11:30 Session 3
12:30 End
