Event description

Tomorrow's Engineers Event

Tomorrow's Engineers Event. In partnership with Maths4Girls.
* Please note this is an online event *

In this 1 hour after school event, we'd like to meet professionals to give us insight into how you use maths and other STEM subjects in your job. We would like to explore a range of different engineering pathways in celebration of Tomorrow's Engineers Week, and to inform and inspire the next generation of engineers. The audience will be made up of predominantly A-level Maths students.

We know that maths and STEM can change the world, and that young people care passionately about this. This session will give insight into the range of careers available, and the importance of STEM subjects.

Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey (up to 10mins):
• How maths played a part and how maths is relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.

Q&As will follow to end the session.
