Event description

Career Speed Dating event - To showcase different careers, raise aspirations and to help build pupils confidence.

150 pupils from year 9 will be interviewing different professionals in a career speed dating type environment, asking them questions about their career path, the company they work for, their job and progression within the company and sector. The aim is to introduce pupils to a wide range of careers and to find out more about them.
This is a great event for anyone to attend from any sector and we would like representatives from as many sectors as possible.
The event will start at 8.30am and finish at 12.30pm. There will be 3 sessions of approx. 1 hour long.
No preparation is required but some may find it useful to bring visual tools to help explain your job.
The sessions prove to be an enjoyable and useful experience for both pupils and employers and these events are also great at raising a company and career profile amongst the students as well as providing an invaluable and meaningful experience for the young people.
The event will be delivered in line with the school risk assessment and Covid 19 secure guidelines will be followed. If a copy of the school’s risk assessment is required by an employer, this can be sent in advance.
Refreshments will be provided.
