Event description

The Future Careers Fair (in school event)
13th October 2021: The Future Careers Fair
Inspire our your people with the story of your career journey.

The Future Careers Fair is our main annual careers event for Year 11, Year 12, and Year 13 students. We invite a variety of people from business, industry, and education to come and talk to the students about their own career journey. We have found in the past that many of the discussions which take place on this evening inspire young people to go on to university or apprenticeships. Many of the students are interested in following careers in a variety of different areas including STEM subjects, the Architecture Marketing, the Media, Law, and many other areas. They are also keen to find out about work experience or work shadowing opportunities to improve their chances of success in the future. During the event the students circulate around the hall having discussions with our guests. We normally invite our guests to come about 6.00 for a quick bite to eat and a drink before the students arrive at 6.30. The evening ends at 8.00pm. Further details will be sent in due course. We welcome volunteers from local businesses and industry to come and share their knowledge and expertise.
Those able to come and join us for the evening should email Ian Poole the Careers Coordinator at the Hollyfield School . Ipoole@hollyfield.kingston.sch.uk
