Brampton Manor Academy Futures Day
Brampton Manor Academy 'Futures Day' Group Interview and Mentoring with Business Leaders
Brampton Manor Academy is a mixed ability academy school in Newham, one of the most deprived boroughs in London. Of our student population, 76% speak English as an additional language and the number of students on Free School Meals is well above the national average. The Academy is ranked as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted and has recently been in the media for our students’ success in receiving 41 offers from the universities of Oxford and Cambridge. The young people we work with are incredibly hardworking and inspire us every day.
We are looking for business leaders to deliver short lectures on their career journey as part of our 'Futures Day'. This would be followed by a discussion on the kinds of skills needed to succeed in the sector and finish with the students having the opportunity to answer some typical interview questions for the sector. The aim of this day is for Business Leaders to support and encourage small groups of our students, to maximise their potential, develop their skills, improve their performance and become the person they aspire to be.
The day will run from 9.35am to 2.35pm and each session will last one hour. Business leaders are welcome to come into the school to run their sessions, or it can be arranged for sessions to be run virtually.
