Event description

Girls using Maths!

We would like to run a 1 hour session, of 4 - 5 10 minute presentations from female role models to inspire our female pupils in Year 8 to use Maths to support them not only in school, but for their future pathways. We would like to run the session via Zoom or Teams and would, once we know who would be happy to support us in doing this, put together a formal programme with times etc.

We would like speakers to share with pupils:
• Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now (with particular focus on Maths)
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.
