Event description

In The Life Of...
These year 11 students need your guidance on how they are going to use their learning to access future careers.

In this session, business volunteers will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire students to make informed decisions about their future, with a focus on transferable and soft skills and how COVID has impacted the labour market.

Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey:
• Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.
