About the Business Leaders

These business leaders have been chosen because their companies are growing quickly.

About the teacher and students

The event was created by Marie Young for 25 students at Inscape House School aged Age 14 - 18.

Event description

Inspire our students who have additional educational needs and share your exciting career journey! Please talk about the importance of functional skills- Maths & English. Speakers will be fully briefed by staff at Inscape House School to ensure the content shared is accessible for the post-16 pupils.

In this session, business leaders will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.

Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey with a particular focus on English & Maths as a subject, to help inspire our students :
• Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.
