These business leaders have been chosen because their companies are growing quickly. Combined they employ 90+ people.

About the teacher and students

The event was created by Louise Williams for 160 students at Shevington High School aged Age 15 - 15.

Students from the following other schools also took part:

  • Dixons Fazakerley Academy – 9 students
  • Halcyon London International School – 13 students
  • Bankhead Primary School – 110 students

Event description

Maths4Girls

In this 1 hour session, business leaders will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.

Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey (up to 10mins):
• How maths played a part and how maths is relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.

Q&As will follow to end the session.
