Who wants to be an Engineer?
Engineering is a vast subject having a long list of sub-categories. But basically, engineering refers to the science which involves the use of mathematical, scientific, practical, and economic knowledge to build something like a machine, structure, or a device.
Though engineering is more of a scientific field, it has a lot to do with creativity and therefore students or people who are innovative, creative and have the boldness or curiosity to experiment are attracted towards this career.
Speakers with a background in Engineering will talk to pupils and share their valuable experience and help pupils understand the different types of Engineering and what is needed to follow this career pathway.
In this session, business leaders will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.
Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey:
• Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.
