The event was created by Hazel Spencer for 50 students at Riverside Primary School aged Age 10 - 10.
Inspire our students
Join our interactive online event where inspirational leaders from the world of business share their unique career journey. By sharing insights, career guidance, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire we hope to support young people to make informed decisions about their future.
Similar to a TED Talk, speakers will share their career journey for 8 - 10 minutes, followed by a lively Q&A session where students can ask questions online.
Speaker Profile:
Nadia Whitmore. is the Regional Community Fundraiser for Aberlour Children’s Charity and covers the West of Scotland. She has been a fundraiser for just over 10 years, starting her career at NSPCC Scotland, another children’s charity where she worked for seven years, before leaving to join a small cancer charity who were just starting out. She helped them to get up and running and worked with them to create some fundraising initiatives that they could implement in communities across Scotland. She has been in her role as Community Fundraiser at Aberlour, for just over two years and her job is to engage with community groups, businesses and other community establishments to galvanise support. Aberlour’s vision is that every child in Scotland has the chance to flourish.
Becky Sage- CEO for iSci. She is an award-winning entrepreneur. She has been CEO of Interactive Scientific (iSci) for five years and has worked with a number of companies in a board-level role.
The event will be Moderated by Alison Rowan McEwan, Engagement Manager Scotland at Founders4Schools. Alison spends her days connecting educators to business leaders to help inspire and prepare young people for the world of work.
