Event description

Year 10 Prep for Work Day - Mock Interviews

Our Year 10 students are in the process of securing work placements for July 2020, we are running a Prep for Work Day on Wednesday 18th March. The day has a carousel of events and activities for students to take part in during the day, one of these sessions include a 1:1 mock interview with representatives from the local business community. During PSHE students have been preparing CV's in preparation for this event. On the day each interviewer will be assigned a number of students to interview, their CV's will be on the desk for you to read through prior to the interviews commencing, after each interview we ask for written feedback on CV presentation, interview skills and techniques etc this is handed to the students at the end of the day. Students always get really anxious about their 1:1 time but it is the most rewarding part of the day for them especially if the feedback in positive and constructive. It is quite fast paced as we have over 200 students to see during the course of the morning however, we aim for a minimum of 25 interviewers to help with this. Each year we receive really positive feedback from our visitors . We welcome and value your support if you are able to attend this event.
