About the Business Leaders

These business leaders have been chosen because their companies are growing quickly.

About the teacher and students

The event was created by Julia Fallowfield for 50 students at The Leeds Parkway Mercure Hotel aged Age 13 - 14.

Event description

The event is a Regional Finals competition for year 9 students that have been undertaking our Airline Master Class day programme.

Students taking part in this Young Enterprise Competition worked in groups and were given £200 million budget to set up and run an airline. They had to plan a destination route, buy aircraft and do everything setting up an airline would involve, right down to designing the uniform for the cabin crew.

There will be Teams from 6 different school competing at this final stage of the competition – from North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and the Humber areas of my Y & H region are participating in the Regional Final which this Founders4Schools Inspirational Talk event is part of.

We would like business leaders to speak to the students and answer their questions for 30 minutes (3.45-4.15). We are happy for the speakers to stay longer but understand they might not be able to.
