The event was created by Andrew H for 25 students at Fulham Boys' School aged Age 11 - 12.

Event description

Dynamic series of enterprise challenges run by the UK's leading enterprise & financial education charity.
We are keen on starting the day off with an inspirational key note speech from business leaders.

Students are put through a dynamic series of enterprise challenges run by the UK's leading enterprise & financial education charity.

The business speakers help set the scene for the importance of business and inspire the young people to make the most of their day of enterprising activities.

Programme Objectives (what the programme will cover)
- Provide an awareness of key employability skills and attitudes needed regardless of future career choices (employment, self employment, further education). Namely teamwork, communication, organisation, confidence, resilience, financial literacy, problem solving and entrepreneurial ability
- Create an immersive experience that enables young people to develop employability skills through business relevant scenarios, gained through learning by doing
- Introduce business concepts, such as marketing, resource application, product development etc.
- Provide inspiration and education by involving volunteers from the world of work

Programme Outcomes (what students will be able to do at the end of the programme)
- Evidence existing experience of employability skills, and be clear on what they can build on and what they need to develop
- Recognise personality types, strengths and weaknesses and what this means to their development
- Understand some of the decisions that businesses make and explain how they used employability skills to work on business concepts
- Prioritise workloads and manage their time – some tasks are deliberately brief in information in order to encourage the development of enterprise and employability skills
