The event was created by Nurcan Irencin-Ozcelik for 250 students at Woodside High School aged Age 12 - 13.
Event description
Inspiring Careers Event will help our students to broaden their horizons.
In this speed networking event, business leaders will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire our students to make informed decisions about their future. Each network session will be with 4 students and will last 6 minutes, after which the business leaders will rotate onto the next table to inspire another 4 students.
Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey:
• Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.
