The event was created by Lyn Ajibade for 150 students at Aston Manor Academy aged Age 15 - 16.

Event description

Join our interactive online event where inspirational leaders from the world of business share their unique career journey. By sharing insights, career guidance, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire we hope to support young people to make informed decisions about their future.

Similar to a TED Talk, speakers will share their career journey for 8 - 10 minutes, followed by a lively Q&A session where students can ask questions online.

Speakers Profile:

Chris Windley - Chris Windley is Global Sales Director at LuJam Cyber and Managing Partner of Staffordshire, Midlands based The Silicon Crossroads startup Venture Capital Trust and Incubator which includes M&A specialist MandARainmaker. They invest in startups in the U.K., U.S.A. and Israel ( mainly ) in the High Tech, Fashion and Media spaces. They drive growth via leading-edge business development methods which include digital sales and marketing, networking and telemarketing and sales. Chris started Voyager with £2,000 and exited with £75 Million. He is a Richard Branson Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 Member 3 times.

Chloe Phillips - She left Sixth Form after her first year to do an apprenticeship with the Civil Service. She spent 2.5 years at the Department for Work and Pensions where her role involved coaching benefit claimants. She is currently at Office of the Public Guardian; an agency within Ministry of Justice working in a project role.
