Event description

Come join our Careers Fair at Heathside School. Wednesday 18th March 2020

We are looking for volunteers to attend our Careers Fair here at Heathside School in Weybridge. We have been running this for a few years and are now looking to expand it further. This year we will be inviting all of our students from Year 7 up to and including Year 13 - approximately 1,200 students on a rolling basis. Parents will also be invited to attend later in the afternoon.

While the event will run from 10am to 6pm we do understand that some volunteers may only be able to attend for a proportion of the day. We hope to be able to offer our students access to as many different professions/career paths as possible, so would love if you were able to join us.

Companies will set up stalls in a space set up by the school and may bring business cards, leaflets or some technology to showcase to students. Students will have the opportunity to informally approach lots of different employers, talk to them personally and ask questions. It is important to note that there should be no expectations of any job opportunities being offered by business leaders at a careers fair but this is a great way for students to experience a wide range of businesses in their local community and for businesses to begin to build their talent pipeline.
