About the teacher and students

The event was created by Mandy Davidson for 200 students at Lenzie Academy aged Age 12 - 13.

Event description

Inspire our S2 students to understand the range and depth of careers they could embark on as they make their first subject option choices.

Our very successful annual S2 Ucandoit2 careers speed date constantly needs new blood as the range of careers evolves throughout the 21st century. The whole of our S2 cohort will get the opportunity to gain a snapshot of a range of potential careers before they make their first subject option selection. The event is fast paced and the pupils are enthusiastic. You need to be able to enthuse them about your career journey and give them insight into what this has involved in a 5 minute slot repeated throughout the afternoon as you rotate around the room. Although you bring props. with you, they need to be potable as the logistics means the visitors move around the pupils rather than the other way around.
