About the Business Leaders

These business leaders have been chosen because their companies are growing quickly.

About the teacher and students

The event was created by Hannah Kaminskas for 150 students at The King's CofE (VA) School aged Age 12 - 13.

Event description

Inspire our students in relation to the importance of having a high work ethic & choosing options which will lead to careers that they enjoy

Our Year 8 students will soon be choosing their GCSE options. We would like to develop students understanding of a wide range of careers. This will be achieved through business leaders sharing their career journeys from school to their current role. I am hoping that I can find 4 speakers who would be interested to come and share their journey with our students through a small presentation in an assembly format.

In this session, business leaders will share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire your students to make informed decisions about their future.

Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey:
• Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.
