Event description

Be part of an event, which will inspire and enthuse our young people about possible future career paths; be an interviewer for the day!

Get Work Ready is a whole-day programme where students in year 10 will begin to learn what today's employers look for in their workforce
Students take part in interview and job application challenges that local, national and international employers use within their current recruitment processes. Individual and team assessments, thinking ‘out of the box’ tasks, customer service activities, practical and written exercises, and interviews are delivered by the business volunteers who provide real and honest feedback. Workshops generally last 40-45 minutes.
In these sessions, business volunteers hold mock interviews, which are an emulation of a job interview used for training purposes.
Students meet with business leaders in small groups within the classroom. Students will have a chance to prepare ahead of time and they understand this is a great learning opportunity to practice their skills and build their confidence.
The impact and learning that takes place for the young people is huge and your support is invaluable.
