Event description

Inspire and enthuse our students - Young people with neurological and physical impairment.
An event that makes a real difference to others

'Get Work Ready' is a whole-day programme where students will begin to learn what today's employers look for in their workforce.
Students will all be cognitively-able. Each of the students has unique and sometimes complex needs. In addition to a physical or neurological impairment, some pupils may have a sensory loss, a medical condition or associated difficulty in learning. Students take part in the fully-supported interview and job application challenges that local, national and international employers use within their current recruitment processes. Individual and team assessments, thinking ‘out of the box’ tasks, customer service activities, practical and written exercises, and interviews are delivered by the business volunteers who provide real and honest feedback. Workshops generally last 45 minutes to an hour. We wish for students to be ambitious for themselves and for what they can achieve, reach their full potential and believe in themselves and have hopes for their future. The day event is uplifting as well as, at times, challenging, but rest assured we look after all volunteers and students are supported as necessary.
Please, support this wonderful event.
