About the Business Leaders

These business leaders have been chosen because their companies are growing quickly.

About the teacher and students

The event was created by Palvinder Dulai for 25 students at St Alban's Catholic Voluntary Academy aged Age 10 - 11.

Event description

Inspire our students - Opportunity for SMEs to engage with a Derby-based Primary school to support the Number Partners Initiative.

Targeted at SME's

Number Partners is a primary initiative where Business Ambassadors work with small groups of primary children to help improve their numeracy skills by playing simple maths based games.

We are looking for 3 SMEs to put forward 4 potential Business Ambassadors each. The commitment is for 30 minutes per week for a term (Approx 10 weeks - Start date and times to be agreed).

The initiative is being funded by Rolls-Royce who are keen to offer this initiative to SMEs who have a passion for education and who perhaps have never had the opportunity in the past to get involved.

Business in the Community (BITC) will broker all the relationships, meet with the businesses and organise a workshop etc and visits to the school as well as the DBS checks etc.

If you are interested in supporting this event and/or would like more information, please contact either:-
