Event description

Mathematics and Measures in Construction

Show and explain the specific skills required in a given industry. This will provide valuable insight to young people considering a career option and give confirmation to those young people preparing to leave education for further/higher education or employment.

Additionally, the children have been learning about measure in maths. They have been learning to use various tools (metre stick, tape measure, trundle wheel, etc) to measure familiar objects. The children would love to hear how important measuring is in your field of work. Even some practical examples or an opportunity to see the various ways measures are taken in the construction industry. We are really trying hard to see how the skills we learn in school can be used in the 'real' world.

I have placed at date on this request but my school and class can be flexible if the date doesn't suit. Please get in touch and we would be more than happy to work around your schedule.
