Event description

Help broaden our pupils horizons!

We are very interested broadening the horizons of our pupils when it comes to potential future careers. When we asked many of our students what careers interest them, we get very similar answers - Doctor, Teacher, Lawyer. We would like to expose our pupils to the idea that there are a huge range of careers out there, and help them to realise that there are lots of paths to success which most have not even heard of yet!

We are hoping to have a few speakers come into the course of the year to inspire our KS2 pupils to think bigger. I have put a guide date and time, but we can be incredibly flexible and work around your availability.

Due to the age of our pupils we are ideally looking for someone who can speak in a simple and engaging way about any/all of the following:

• Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.
