Event description

Invitation to attend out Enfield Careers Fair!

Hello,

I hope you are well. My name is Farah Ameerally and I work as a Careers Adviser for Enfield Careers Service.

I would like to invite your organisation to attend a Careers Fair on Wednesday 11th December 2019 at Heron Hall Academy.

This event is aimed at Year 8 pupils as they will be choosing their GCSE option subjects at the end of this academic year. Research shows that talking to different professionals about their jobs help pupils to make an informed careers decision.

Therefore, at this key transition point, the pupils will greatly benefit from engaging with your representative to find out about the opportunities in your sector as well as the different career journeys.

Details of the event are below:

Date Wednesday 11th December 2019

Time 10.30am – 12.30pm

The Careers Fair will start at 10.30am, so we would therefore ask that all representatives arrive by 9.45 am to set up.

Venue: Heron Hall Academy, 50 Queensway, Enfield, EN3 4SA
Public transport Southbury Station
Publicity: Photos will be taken for the Academy newsletter.
Format: Stalls will be set up in the hall for your organisation and pupils will engage with your representative either in small groups or on a one to one basis. You are welcome to bring along a small stand or an interactive equipment. Please let us know in advance if you need access to an electrical socket.

Parking: Spaces are available on site in the car park
Students attending: 240 Year 8 students (they will be choosing their GCSE options the following month so need to find out about different professions.)
Lunch and refreshments: This will be provided. Please inform us of any dietary requirements
School Contact: Farah Ameerally (farah.ameerally@enfield.gov.uk)

It would be helpful if you can let me know by Friday 8th November whether your organisation will be able to attend.
If you are no longer responsible for this area of work, I would appreciate if you can send me the contact details for the relevant person.

If you have any questions in regards to this event, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind Regards

Farah Ameerally
