Maths Week - Celebrating Maths
I would like to invite you to visit Baston House School on Wednesday, 13th of November 2019 @ 10 -11 am. This day falls within England's national Maths week, which we are going to celebrate in our school.
It is important to mention that we are a Special Needs School, specialized in Autism. There will be some students that have 1-2-1 support and also we have small number of students in each class.
Some of our students attainment in Maths are below their age. The students that pass the GCSE do not usually take A levels.
You will be meeting our students in the school hall and there will be teachers and supporting staff with the students.
Some students might be shy to ask questions but the staff can help on asking questions or reading on behalf of them. But I am sure that some of our students will be happy to talk to you. There will be around 40-50 students, boys and girls from KS3-KS5 (age 11-19 years old).
The aim of your visit will be:
To inspire and motivate students to enjoy learning Maths and achieve their full potential.
The importance of GCSE and further Maths qualifications.
To emphasis on the importance of Maths in our daily life and their career options in the future.
Share your experience on how Maths skills has helped you on your profession.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Many thanks in advance,
Eliverta Zylyftari
