Learning from more experienced people
Help us to inspire young people who have had difficulty engaging in mainstream school. As part of curriculum based activity they need to learn from more experienced people about the world of work and the skills and attitudes needed to succeed.
These events help pupils learn a range of attributes to boost employability, develop enterprise opportunities and prepare young people for the world of work. In addition to this, students can gain an in-depth understanding of why integral skills such as resilience, conflict resolution, interpersonal skills and independence are important within the workplace.
As part of there topic they will need to identify with someone they admire for their skills and knowledge –
No matter how skilled we are already we can all learn from others, either in the workplace or outside.
In this unit they will have the opportunity to identify people who have more experience and how you can learn from them.
