Event description

Enterprise and the World of Work - Year 9

Hello all,

I / we have never used this system before to try to find relevant people from business to help with events here at school - hope this works!

We've got an Enterprise Day coming up where the Year 9s will have a day away from their usual timetable to learn more about Enterprise and Entrepreneurship and will take part in an Enterprise Activity in their tutor groups.

We're looking for 2 things - someone engaging and inspiring to give an intro to the day, explaining their story (as in the auto-generated blurb below!) to the year group, and then same or other people to go into the tutor groups and have a more interactive discussion about their decisions and their industry.

Speakers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey:
• Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.

Thank you very much for your consideration.

Best wishes, Steve
