Career Insight Event - Supporting Pupil Pathways

Dear all,

We are again hosting a Careers Information Event here in Our Lady's High School, Cumbernauld on Friday, 29th of November. If you were able to attend last year's event you will hopefully recall that is was a highly successful day with around 40 exhibitors in attendance.

This year's event will take place in Our Lady’s High School, Cumbernauld from 11am until 3pm and, having taken advice on board from last years exhibitors, will be open to S4 – S6 pupils and parents. We are hoping to provide each pupil with an in-depth knowledge about the various career paths available to them, and the qualifications and skills required to become successful within them. We hope that hearing this first hand from employees like yourself will give them an incredibly worthwhile account of the labour market which will inform them when making their own career choices.

The intended set up of the day will be as follows:

· Tea/Coffee available on reception from 10.30am.
· A light lunch and refreshments will be available in the school library half way through the event (approximately 12.30pm).

· You will be allocated a table in the Assembly Hall where you can display any materials you may wish to bring with you to inform our parents and pupils.
· Each year group will be allocated a time-frame where they will spent time visiting each stand/employer and parents will have an open invitation all afternoon.

We would be very grateful if you could attend again this year and pass on your knowledge and expertise to our young people. We understand how incredibly busy you are as professionals but if you can attend if you could let me know by October 1st then it would be very much appreciated.

I look forward to hearing from you.
