Event description

Wester Hailes Education Centre Work Ready! 2019

We are a mainstream secondary school in Edinburgh. Wester Hailes is an area of socio-ecomonic disadvantage with 85% of our young people residing in SIMD 1. 45% of our young people are in receipt of Free School Meals.

The aim of this event is to widen horizons and to increase student knowledge of the many and varied pathways to career success. Our students are highly motivated to find out about new opportunities.

We would also like to offer (for our senior students) a 'fireside chat' giving employers the opportunity to discuss their own journeys in line with the #NoWrongPath DYW campaign.
