Event description

A DATE WITH SUCCESS - Speed Networking Event for year 9 celebrating National Careers Week 2020

This event is a speed networking event for year 9 in which small groups will have 5 minutes at each business leaders table to ask any questions they like and find our more about their career journey. We ask that volunteers provide information and tips to motivate and inspire our students to make informed decisions about their future. Please bring your pop up stands with you and any material for your table. you may also bring a laptop if you have any visual material to show the students.

Business volunteers will ‘tell a story’ about their career journey:
• Subjects they studied and how these are relevant now
• What inspired them to choose their career path
• Their failures, as well as successes
• What their company does and why this is important
• What they enjoy most about their career
• Skills currently relevant in the jobs they are doing now.

This is a popular and fun event in which students are able to network and access a huge amount of information in a short space of time.

We look forward to welcoming you to our school!
